Outfitting the Galley
I like real food. I've found a decent balance of what to buy and what not to buy.
Magma nesting pans:
These are very good. The nonstick saves A LOT of water when cleaning. I've often wiped them out with a paper towel to save on water. These work great with both induction burners and on gas burners. (Don't confuse this review with Magma grills, which I think are lame.)
Knives:
I'm a fan of these coated Cuisinart knives. Each has a sheath/cover which is a great safety option for the boat. They are sharp and the coating reduces the surface area that'll even get exposed to rust causing salt water air.
Ice Maker:
A friend turned me on to this and I MUST agree. I bought a decent countertop ice maker and it's my favorite thing. When it's brutally hot out, having an iced drink has saved the day many times.
Cups:
I buy the Ozark Trail brand stainless cups. The painted ones are handy for keeping track of who's cup is who's.
Heat sources:
On Madeye I've equipped some induction burners, an air fryer oven, an inverter microwave, an electric grill and a propane grill.
